Updating field values directly from the Web

I am developing a db for monitoring share prices (Office 2000).

The prices are updated on the web on a regular basis.

A workaround would be for Access to open an Excel file with an Excel macro using MSQueries to update the worksheets, then use access to import the data from Excel. This sounds awful.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to access the web data directly in Access?
