Updating Access base tables from FoxPro views

I have two access tables that I am trying to update through FoxPro views but the changes I make in the view do not update the base tables

Please could anyone who has encountered this problem advise what they did in order to get past it

I have made progress with this in terms of setting up which fields are updateable but I am still unable to get this working, does anyone know anything about updating remote access tables through views? If you could point me in the right direction at all it would be hugely appreciated
