Updating a packed field

I have a packed field that is 4.0 long but when you look at it in hex the first and last positions are not valid. I have a field that looks like:
217
60C
the 6107 is valid, the 2 should be 0 and the C should be F.

Is there a way to write an RPG program to fix this problem? I have not written an RPG program in years, so sample code would be greatly appreciated!!

Please disregard my previous post. We found that all we had to do was an SQL:

update supportq/csb6rep set b6klnb = b6klnb
where b6klnb > 9999
