It was reported yesterday that the child referenced in this situation passed away.

seems counter-productive to block 911 or 9,911 BUT check with any hospital... i've worked on maybe 40 hospital sites.. almost none of them allow 911 or 9,911..and it's not just hospitals, but a lot of places that have full time security, call are usually routed to security.. i agree that 911 should be mandated from a public access phone.. but then you get 100's of hangup calls that slows reponse to actual problems..

i feel for any family that looses a child, i've lost children and it's the worse thing a person can go through.

I agree John, hospitals are probably the biggest offenders. The reason is that 'they are a hospital'. Ok, for medical emergencies, but what about chemicla spills, robbery, gunman, etc...

People do not see the big picture until someone dies. I'd love to be on one of those juries.

you and half of america.. i would rather dial 911 then try a code page from a non patient area at most hospitals.. they are not expecting to need a crash cart in the parking lot
