Hi Everyone

I have a problem on my norstar system phone I pay for 8 phone lines so i think that my pool B does not contain 8 lines.
So when just 3 persons are on calls the 4th cannot get free line ????

My question :

- how can i see what are the phone numbers included in my pool b

- how can i add phone lines in the pool b

I am an IT person, i have just a little bit knowledge about programming phone system !!!

please help me !

You need to have access to configuration programming.
You then go into LINES, select the line number, do a SHOW, and a SHOW at TRUNK/LINE DATA.
NEXT through until you come to LINE TYPE.
This will determine the line pool setting.

Thank you for your help !
I do it and i saw that from 049 until 058 are in pool b

is it possible to check what is the phone number associated to codes 049, 050,...,058

because we had more than 8 phone lines ( 12 exactley) and we contacted our phone provide to cut 4 lines.

So i need to know what is included in my pool b list as phone numbers ? so to be sure that no one of them are those are cutted from our phone provider

thanks a lot !

You got a couple of options:
1) Go to the telephone equipment and look for the terminating block from Telco. It usually has an orange cover on it with the numbers for each line written on the inside of the cover. You would have to trace the connection over to the Norstar and see which port it is terminated on.
2) An easier way might be to assign each line to appear and ring on a set. After they've been assigned, you can press Feature *0 and one of the buttons to determine which line number is on which button. Call each of your numbers and document the line number it rang in on. Lines are assigned under the Terminals & Sets heading.
Press SHOW at Terminals & Sets, input the DN of the set you want to use, press SHOW until you are inside LINE ASSIGNMENT. Press Find and input the line number. The display will read "unassigned". Press change until it reads Appear & Ring. Repeat for the other lines.

Or, if you do as SupportDude suggested, and assign those lines to a set, you can call 1800-444-4444, and you'll be given the number you're calling from.
