I am a new FoxPro 2.6 programmer with a simple problem that I don't know how to solve. Each time I run a program, the first "SET DEVICE TO PRINTER" followed by "@ SAY ..." in the program results in a prompt to print a one-page document consisting of only a page eject. A subsequent "SET PRINTER ON" does print the "@ SAY ..." output correctly. Can anyone kindly tell me how to suppress that prompt to print the unwanted initial one-page document? Thank you in advance.

After you set divice to print, Stop with the @ say.
Use ? or ?? or ??? David W. Grewe

David,
Thank you. Your solution worked. One interesting new event, since I switched to ? and ?? rather than @SAY, is that the printed output does not start until I quit the FoxPro application, although I can live with that problem.

Issue 2 set of these command after the print job and that will stop that
set printer off
set printer to
set device to screen
