Unwanted bounding box - can't make transparent

I have tried 5 different ways to export my gif without the bounding box, and it still is not transparent. Here is my procedure:

I exported my selected object as a gif
Chose 8 bit Paletted - 300 dpi
Tried anti-aliasing and also unchecking anti-aliasing.
For the Transparency I chose Image color, and clicked on white, so I didn't get my white bounding box.
Tried interlace image, and unchecked interlace image.

I don't know what else to try. I'd appreciate any suggestions. I have Corel Draw 11. Thanks.

and you will find detailed step-by step directions. You must make the background transparent in Photopaint, inport the graphic into CorelDraw as a CPT file then export as a GIF.

Thank you so much, I'll try that. I think the people at Corel should do something about this.
