Access 2000 uses the Office 2000 AutoCorrect facility. This enables ham-fisted users to carry on knowing that pre-defined errors will be corrected when they mis-type data in text boxes etc.. This facility can be turned off by setting the 'Allow AutoCorrect' property of the text boxes.
The situation I have is that users/developers type directly into a tables. These too appear to use the AutoCorrect facility and consequently change the typed in data. For example: Users type in '(R)' into the table which gets changed to the 'R in a ring symbol'. These have different meanings for the users and therefore is unacceptable.
Does anyone know how to turn off AutoCorrect when entering data into tables in Access 2000 without turning it off for the rest of Office 2000?
TIA
