Hello, I am recieving an unusual print error, I have tried to search the net for some information on the error but have not had any luck. The error is:

The instruction at "0x013421f5" referenced memory at "0x013421f5". The memory could not be "read". Click on okay to terminate the program.

Anyone run into anything like this before? Thank you.

Well, it is a memory error! Could be firmware.
What printer? It does not matter, really. Pull the memory chip[s} and start unit. Add chips untill you get the error again. Is this from a specific app?

I don't think that this is anything to do with the printer itself.

I'm assuming that the error message is reported on the user's PC, indicating that the error is within a printer driver, or some supporting DLL perhaps.

First establish whether the driver you are using is one built-in to the Operating System (in which case a Windows forum might be a better bet), or one of the (HP?) vendor-supplied ones (in which case find out if there is a more up-to-date driver available).

Have a look into the eventlog of windows (Start-> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event viewer) for an explanation/description of the issue.
M$ has a bunch of various explanations to that issue :
Did you try with another driver ? Try swap from PCL to PS or the other way around.

Thanks for info guys. The error does come on the users machine when she prints from Adobe. Only Adobe though, everything prints okay. I figure it must be an adobe issue. I have checked the "Emit passthrough PostScript when printing" in the General section of the Preferences before I posted my message and it seems to be okay although I don't think that was the correct way to solve the porblem. I was just basically trying to play darts in the dark in a hope to find something. I will keep you all updated on my progress. Thank you...
