I just noticed that an unsecured Linksys computer to computer network has showed up. Is there any way to verify if this is on my network or in a building next door? Maybe there is some sort of utility that can scan the network for wireless devices? Management is concerned that we have an unsecured wireless device on our network, however I've certainly never set up an unsecured wireless device. Is there any way to identify what this is and where it's coming from?

As it is named 'Linksys' this sounds like it is another network you are seeing.

How did you discover this - where did it show up?

It sounds like this is just anopther W-Lan that is nearby. If you are concerned incase that is an access pooint someone has installed on your network, try to connect to it, and see what settings it gives you. Check these settings against your own network...
