Hello,

I've got a huge problem on an ACCESS 97 db.

Every day since last week, we got the problem with a linked database (back-end). (front-end also ACCESS97)

The error that occured is :

"The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object 'databases'. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and path name correctly."

I can not find any good repair utility that can make my db work again.

Has anyone had this problem? And what can I do to avoid my db to go this corrupt again? I have a backup, but to put this back every day is not a good solution.

TNX,

Thanks, BUT

It doesn't work. "Error Compacting the database" is the message I get.

Any other suggestions?

Create a new blank mdb - import as much of the old one as possible?

Importing doesn't work.
When I try to access the database I get the error message "The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object 'databases'. Make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and path name correctly."
