Unrecognized DataBase Format?

While using a MDB database from Access 2000, I get an 'unrecognized database format error'. I don't get this if I export the data to dbase or one of the older formats. Anyone know a way around this?

Have to tried repairing the database? You can find this feature in the tool menu under Database Utilities.
