Unrecognized database format

When I go to open an Access97 database, I get the following error message...
Unrecognized database format '\\SWNT1\PLON\incident.mdb'

Can anyone help me to open this database?

You usually get this message with A97 when attempting to open a DB created with A2K or higher.
