unprompted change on brush type

Is there a way to change the brush tool back to a full circle instead of the little star shaped tool.
Often it will turn into the star shaped without any prompting or changes entered and the only way I can get a full circle tool back is by turning off ps and rebooting my computer.
Any cure for this?

edit> preferences> displays and cursors> brush size..

happens to me as well..don't know why..sometimes it does it when the preferences is set to brush size..then the fix is set it to exact..weird..somekinda bug..but not one to worry about to much i guess..

This is soooo annoying. Happens to me frequently. I can't see to do close work unless I see the brush, so to me it is a big deal, especially since rebooting does not ALWAYS solve the problem. Anybody solved this?

i just said in the above post..

edit> preferences> displays and cursors> brush size..

that is the fix..maybe not the bug fix..but the fix to reset your tools..did you read the post above?.

uh... Caps Lock on anyone? Turn caps lock on and off with tool in question selected and watch what happens to your cursur.

Its OK, I was a newbie once too.
