Hello.

I am running networker 6.1.1 on Solaris 8.

Could anyone tell me if there is a way to unmount tapes through networker from the command line on a non-jukebox system. I know you can use nsrjb to accomplish this with a jukebox, but I need to do it with a single tape drive server.

If I just do #mt -f /dev/rmt/0 rewoffl while a tape is mounted, networker is not happy. I would like to unmount the tape and then take the drive offline via scripts.

Any help is appreciated!

Take a look at the nsrmm command, I would think that's the one your looking for.

Hello unixgy

try to use: nsrjb -u -j JUKEBOX -f DEVICE
this should be done as root and unloads the tape from DEVICE in jukebox JUKEBOX.
If you want to use it in a script you might think about using the -Y option too. Best would be to have a look at "man nsrjb"

Cheers

Thanks everyone!

The command I was looking for is:

#nsrmm -u

Thanks, again.
