Unlock Record

How do you go about unlocking a record in 8i?

I can't do the update either thru the application or via select for update or by row_id.

Is it possible to find out which session/user has the record locked?

I'm a bit green to all this so please be gentle!!

Hi. We were all green at one stage and some are just ripening now. Have a look at Thread186-1116928 for an answer to this and don't forget the Keyword search facility these fora have. HTH.
