Unlock files that claim they are in use.

I have SQL sever backup jobs that run hourly 2 of my jobs are claiming that it can not complete because the destination file is in use. I checked every place i know that would be using these files and nothing has them open. I tried renaming the files and it gives the same error. Does anybody know a way other than rebooting to clear this?

It is unclear to me what you want to do with the files in use, but the reskit "inuse.exe" may help:

If this is a common problem you might investigate to see if there is an opportunistic locking issue:

This still requires a reboot. Consider it like this .. You have a word document you need to make changes to .. It wont let you make changes because it says the file is in use. But nothing on your server/network is using it. This is an important server that you cant reboot .. what do you do to unlock the file?

I did a find and the name of the file and it said YO novanet has your file open
