Unknown sender or recipient

We are running Norton Enterprise edition 2.1 and Exchange 2000 with the VAPI mode on for notification. Every message returns an Unknown Sender and Unknown Recipient. I understand this is a limitation of Exchange interface with Norton. Any way to work around this? With a notification I'll know who to expect calls from........
