I created a blank database on my sql2000 server. I added the database to me BDE administrator. I set it up as a new database in Goldmine, and it works great from the server.

I can't access this database from any client machines. This client machine can access the other gm database that is on the sql2000 server.

Here is the error I get:
Unknown database.

Context: openDatabase
MSSQL: PKP_Consolidated: dbo.CONTACT1

1: Alias: PKP_Consolidated

BDE Error Cat:Code: [39:30]
BDE: 500 [4/11/1999] GoldMine: 5.50.10424

User: CCONNELL
Window: Contact Set Databases

Template: 7290
Details:
ALIAS: PKP_Consolidated

Oh, yeah. I saw this same error mentioned in this thread:
thread868-325896 tried the solutions suggested to no avail.

You need to make sure the workstation(s) are using the same BDE as the server. If they aren't, you can 'merge the configuration file' from the OBJECT menu in the BDE on the workstation and browse, then, to the server's BDE's idapi32.cfg file to have any/all aliases defined there copied into your workstation(s) BDE config.

You got it goner. Thanks.

I didn't realize that there were two versions of bde conflicting with each other.
