Hey guys/gals,

I'm looking for more information about an particular phone that calls out and when a person say like me picks up with a cell phone it gets an unknown id. Other phones receives this as well. My confusing starts that it's only affecting one phone (1406) while other phones works fine and outside user can see the number coming from the office. I currently have an PRI setup. I read that sometimes I need to contact the service provider but in this instance only one phone is being affected so I think it might be the settings in the IP Office? I also checked the user and line settings and compared the affected one with a regular one.

I poked around and I read suggestions of using an S after the N in the ars number table.
Such as Ns7181234567 or Nsi7181234567.

Going to give it a try later this week when I head out to the site and take a look at the monitor to see if I can spot anything. But in the meantime does anyone might have an inkling where the issue might be?

Thank You

If you haven't included the s718123456 in your ARS table, the system is going to send the number from the Incoming Call Route automatically, unless there isn;t an ICR or there is more than 1 ICR for this extension. If the IPO doesn't send anything at all, the telephone company should send the main billing telephone number instead, by default. Run a Trace and place a call, look for "Calling Party Number in the trace

I had that sometimes when a user found out that there is an option to withheld the number under funct\call settings on the phone. It can't be seen in manager. Only in monitor during the call setup.

In my locale you can dial 1831 in front of your number to turn caller ID off. 1832 turns caller id on if it is a silent number.
It's also used as a way to circumvent toll restrictions for long distance by unscrupulous employees. Be aware.

Then I found out they were feeding them.
