How can I limit the amount of memory a certain process uses.

HP has a product called PRM (Process Resource Manager), it allows memory restriction for a defined process. It is a licensed item ($$$)

Hi,
Does HPUX have a ULIMIT/LIMIT command that can be used to set the maximum values like other UNIXs have.

yes. And it has a lot of kernel parameters that control things like memory.

We don't have prm installed on the server. I was thinking ulimit but that seems it will limit everything in the shell. Can't find any good documenetation on ulimit.
