Hi !

Can N E 1 explain me how to run a shell script thru Forms of Developer 2000. For Ex. if I want the SQL Loader to be executed from a Form, then how do I execute the following statement : sqlload userid=user/password control=x.ctl ....

You may call this built-in from within any pl/sql code. Just type host('your shell command');

Thanx, but in case the Form is executed from the Client site, the Host will be DOS from the Windows 9x platform.

Do you use Client/Server with Windows client and Unix server and need to execute some remote shell script?

Yes, I use win9x clients and the server is running in a Unix server. From the client site I want to execute a shell script that is stored in the server.
