Is there anyway to remotely retrieve end-users voicemail messages using Unity Connection 7.0 when the end-user has no voicemail password (* does not seem to work)?
If you have it set to login from trusted numbers only you need to set up the remote number/numbers you will be calling from in unity as a trusted number.
Thanks - where is that option set? and FYI "Skip Password When Calling From a Known Extension" is checked....however un-checking it make no difference.
you need to add the CLID you will be calling from to the alternate extensions of the mailbox.
What happens when you dial * to get into the mailbox? You enter the mailbox id and then what happens?
Thx - we want no CLID screening and when you enter * it asks for ID # and then PIN #....so I enter mailbox number then # and then # again since there is no PIN. At this point it just goes back to the main Unity greeting...Welcome to Cisco Unity Messaging....
What happens if you wait and not hit # for the second time? You are hitting too many #. If you wait I bet it will ask you for a password since it in not a known extension.
You have to add the calling number as an alternate mailbox to be able to check without a password. Otherwise ANYONE can get into that mailbox and listen in.
