Nortel rolls out again another version of UNIstim, this time with VPN functionality but again very little information to support it.

Anyone have a bulletin? What are the requirments for VPN? VPN Configuration Wizard Software? Licenses?

Thanks in advance!

VPN definitely requires licenses. The bulletin is released for use internal only. Don't know why.
There is a VPN wizard taht is supposedly available for download.
What gets me is that you cannot get support unless you are on the latest firmware release. But is is a major outage for me as I have 9000+ handsets.

FYI...it only works with the Nortel VPN platform for now. Show stopper for us as we moved away from the Nortel VPN Platform.

IPCPVA-01[1].00_00.20.jar.zip ...what is this vpn program for? is this to manage the phone settings..I was hoping for a web interface in 4.0

Looks like the Nortel Phone VPN Configuration Wizard is meant to be used by the home-office/remote worker to initially configure their IP Phone 11xx with the required configuration files to get the VPN client working. Makes sense since it would not be able to reach the normal TFTP/HTTP configuration server at the office until the VPN is actually running.
