How do you uninstall software and other applications for macintosh? Do you just delete the folders or there is a way to uninstall them? Please help. Thanks

Sue

You can jsut trash them. If you want you can also go to user/library/preferences and trash the prefs for the trashed apps but leaving them there won't husrt you.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

i thought so, just wasn't too sure. Thank you so much.

I recommend using an app called AppZapper. It finds all files on your hard drive related to the app you are removing and moves them to the trash, along with the app. Get it at

thanks i will definitely look into appzapper!

I would always to go the Library file, then application support, and delete the file associated with your application you just trashed. The application support file for Garage Band, for instance, is 1.5G. Even if you have a huge hard drive why waste that much space. Many files are not that large but getting rid of everything is a best practice.
