I have a box running win 2000 server and win 98. Win 2000 server will not run properly so I want to remove it completely. Is ther an uninstall feature for this function or do I need to manually remove the files and if I do, how do I reemove the dual boot option that i currently see after the BIOS executes?

Thanks for your expertice in advance if you can fu=igure this out. I am sure it is simple.

HI,

remove all windows 2000 folders manually

For dual boot.

boot your machine with start up diskette WIN98 when you prompt
inter a command

A:\sys c:

if sys file does not existe in your diskette copy it from
c:\windows\command

the dual boot will desapeare you will boot directly from WIN98

Good luck

Hum, I had a similar solutiuon with Linux a while ago,
although this was on a seperate partition, this should apply:

Boot into win98
(Make a boot disk)
Remove all Win2K bits and bobs,
Restart in DOS mode (may need to bootdisk for this,
as the MBR will try and reference stuff thats
not there)
and run
fdisk /mbr
(Sounds drastic! but this works).

Look up 'Uninstalling Linux and LILO boot' on the MS webby.
