I've got a Merlin 410 system that I need to uninstall without screwing up the rest of the "regular" phones. Any warnings before I start unplugging? Thanks in advance.

By "regular" telephones, do you mean single line telephones that are external to the 410 or does that mean something else?

You can unplug extensions and/or lines from the 410 at any time. The only programming that would be screwed up would be the individual extension's button programming that someone may have done - unless you later plug the same phone or same type of phone (BIS-10, BIS-22, etc.) into the same extension slot.

Dexman,

Yes - I mean single line phones. Sorry I didn't clarify.

Hi vsmurrell! [smile]

As tdaugirdas said, removing any extensions that are plugged into the 410 is pretty easy. I would add 1 more step. If the 410 has a Power Fail module installed and the single line telephones are wired off of that module, you will need to move that wiring off of the 410 and over to the Bell demarc. Otherwise, once you unplug the line cords to the 410, the single line telephones will stop working. If the single line phones are completely separate from the 410, you should be able to shut the unit down and remove it.
