Hello ,

We want to uninstall arcserve 11 and move it to another server. Have followed correct steps already and also deleting keys off registry etc But we cannot delete one file msg comes up cannot delete lic98.dll . This file is inside ca_lic folder.

Any ideas how we can delete this ? Because whenever we try to reinstall arcserve 11 it doesn't give us an option in the beginning to select which drive / path to install it , just defaults to c drive ( due to previous instal I guess )
We've deleted everything except for this folder . Please help . We are running in win2003 server.

Stop the Event Log and Event Log Watch service and that will help you delete the ca_lic directory.

go to service and look for a service and make sure both servcies CA License Client & CA License Server are stopped then try to delete ca_lic folder.

Or after uninstall delete the CA registry key, restart the machine, then you are able to delete the whole CA_Lic-directory.

Regards,
Peter
