uninstall instance of sql server 2005

I need help system will not uninstall instance of sql server 2005. It does not show in my control panel and I need to reinstall sql server 2005 the real version. When I try to install keep getting message it finds incompatible components.

delete the following regkey.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server

Yes I had a previously installed the beta version some time ago. I do not see HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server this is not in the registry. Actually at one time I did have the beta visual studio

The beta versions of SQL didn't allow you to uninstall from Add/Remove programs. There was an uninstaller on the CD/DVD which would remove everything and allow you to install the RTM version.
