Is there any way to uninstall the advanced client from a computer if the site server has already been removed from the environment?

Using CCMClean doesn't do the trick. The SMS Agent Host service doesn't get off loaded and the four .cpl files in Control Panel do not get removed.

Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks!!

Tony

Does ccmclean.exe give you any kind of error message? Are you running the latest ccmclean.exe? The presence of a site server should not affect the uninstall.

Thanks for the response.

No, there are no error messages. It completes much faster than it should, like 30 seconds compared to the average 2 or 3 minutes or more depending on the speed of the machine in question.

The version of CCMClean I'm using is v2.50.3025.1000.

I don't know if this relates or not since I really have no idea what it refers to.

Even though CCMClean reports that it was successful I also have the following informational event.

I have had trouble with the SMS client service stopping smoothly. Go into task manager and end the ccmexec.exe process. Then run ccmclean.exe.

Good call! Unfortunately, the ccmexec process isn't listed.

Tony

Is the service running? If the service is running the process has to exist.

The only service I see related to SMS that's still listed as a service is the SMS Agent Host service. But it's not started.
