Hi all,
Can some body explain to me how exactly does uniform-dial plan work? Thanks

Here's what happens in my switches:

you are in switch 'C' and dial 47488
UDP says 'that's on ENPNode 7'
ENPCode says 4x984
So now I'm 9847488

Node Routing Node 7 says Route Pat 2
Route Pat 2 says 'go out trunk group 113 and insert '133''
so now I'm 1339847488

Switch 'U' gets 1339847488 and says
'133 is the AAR access code'
AAR for 984xxxx says to strip 2 digits
now I'm back to 47488 and UDP says that that is local and my phone rings.

Simple huh?

Switch name: CSBS - UNIFORM DIALING PLAN

Ext Codes: 1ddx

Ext Code: 1xxx Type: UDPCode 123

Lets say that the extension range 1000-1999 are remote switch. When you dial 1xxx the dial plan is checking the number and saying that that number is part of some other switch and check the udp. The udp is adding 123 that is leading to the aar analisys
Switch name: CSBS - AAR DIGIT ANALYSIS REPORT

Dialed Total Route Call Node
String Min Max Pattern Type Number

123 7 7 10 aar

Thank you both for your responses. Is there any literature that will explain in more detail the whole set up of UDP. Thanks.

I gleaned it from the admin guide with extreme difficulty. Those guys don't think straight.
