Hi,

We have exchange 365 online and avaya ip office manager version 9.1
I am not expert when it comes to avaya ip office but getting there, I want users to be able to delete a voicemail from their inbox and have it be deleted from the voicemail client/server.
How do i go about doing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Darn, so just voicemail to email.
Is there another option out there so my users dont have manage voicemails in the emails as well on their phone

· UMS Exchange 2007 (Release 5.0+)
With Voicemail Pro, the system supports voicemail email to an Exchange 2007 server email account. For users and groups also enabled for UMS Web Services this significantly changes their mailbox operation. The Exchange Server inbox is used as their voicemail message store and features such as message waiting indication are set by new messages in that location rather than the voicemail mailbox on the voicemail server. Telephone access to voicemail messages, including Visual Voice access, is redirected to the Exchange 2007 mailbox.

Are you keeping up with the Commodore? Because the Commodore is keeping up with you.

Hold on. Do the client they are using to access their emails support IMAP? Voicemail Pro UMS IMAP is synchronized with the telephony mailbox.

Office 365 is a hosted solution with an encrypted connection, VM Pro can't integrate with that as far as I'm aware :)

Its doesn't need to. Whichever application the user is using to access their Exchange365 messages just need to be able to be configure to also have IMAP access to the Voicemail Pro server (Windows server only).

I thought Avaya upped their game at 9.1 re:sending to Exchange in the cloud with security and stuff.

I haven't looked at the UMS stuff in a while, but just for my background, can you not do UMS on 9.1 with 365?

I would think with the whole cloud push that it would be supported... but I think in technicolor!

Not directly. They added support for EWS as a method to connect to Exchange 2010/2013 rather than MAPI. As far as I known EWS can be used with 365 but how is beyond me and for some reason Avaya didn't cover that - so it could be tried but I suspect you'd be entering 'know more about the product than Avaya actually do' territory.

I got a big UC deployment working an got Portal to sniff exchange for calendar and presence information - if that counts :). It was on-prem exchange though.

And you're right, after you spend an hour or 3 on it, you know more than they do!
