I have setup unified messaging a few times, always frustrating but always working in the end. I am attempting the same thing this time with no luck! I have Merlin messaging R3.0 on the network and can access it great through the GUI. I have installed the UM application and it's services are running, the GUI likes it and I can configure no problem. I setup my voicemail box to unify with my email address just fine. I call my VM box, leave myself a mesage and my light comes on... but no email. I am not even seeing an attempt on my email server. Argh! I'm using the SMTP style. I can send/recieve fine with the same server name using Outlook. I hope this isn't too vague! I, of course, promised this to be working last FRIDAY so I am under the gun to have it up ASAP. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!!

Time to check IP addresses? Router issues?

Been through all that unfortunately... no blocks on the firewall, no routing issues I can find. IPs are working fine. I would really like to find a log file or a way to trace where this is going. The UMSLOG.csv isn't giving me a notice that it is sending anything nor is it reporting any errors. I've reinstalled a couple of times, but I will try again for grins. I'll also try finding another server to use. Any other suggestions are welcome!!

I can only wish it were Exchange I was dealing with. Unfortunately it is just iMail. We are using POP and SMTP. I can connect fine using Outlook and the same server name I use with UM, even from the same PC, so I am not so sure it is a routing/dns/firewall issue. Continuing to try things as I have time... Thanks for reading!

So I was browsing around the folders in the UM App directory. The "HOLDING" folder seems to have all the messages I want. I can open them right from Outlook Express and they look good! The addresses are correct and the WAV files play fine. The big problem is that they never made it to the email server. Is that why they are in the HOLDING folder? There is nothing in the FAILED or PICKUP folders. The logfile simply lists the messages. Does this help?
