Hello, got a new customer with an IPO 500V2 version 8 with six POTS lines, fifteen IP sets and embedded voicemail. Customer is interested in unified messaging (having voicemail messages sent to their email that can be played back audibly). They are using Outlook 2010 email.
I checked the search forum but the only information I've found there is vague. Specifically what parts and programing are required to set this up?

Thanks in advance, Lanny

You are talking about VM to email not UMS really, you need to programmes the email server into the systems SMTP tab (can't use Gmail or Yahoo etc) and then set the users address etc in the users programming :)

jayster1313, please explain further and tell me specifically what you would advise to have good workable VM to email.

Thanks in advance, Lanny

i minute of voicemail storage = 1mb of storage used on the server.

Thanks, sounds like only 1 gb of storage would provide 1000 minutes of voicemail - more than 16 hours for 5 users.
