I've got a Merlin Messaging R4 unit running on a Magix R4 system. We have a Windows server that I've got the Unified Messaging Application running on, but we do not have our own internal mail server; our e-mail is hosted. How do you configure the application to stop trying to deliver mail on the server it's installed on and instead send the mail out to addresses specified?

And even then, that program doesn't ever work correctly. At the very least, it will cause random extensions on your phone to lock up periodically.

I stand corrected.

After re-reading the Manual, I have found that yes, you can do it with your EXTERNAL EMAIL SERVER. It just won't be syncronized.

HOWEVER, I can't make it work.

The reason is, the instructions say in the MERLIN MESSAGING ADMIN PROGRAM, you can activate Extensions (Mailboxes) to use the Voice Mail to Email Feature.

I can't find the tab the instructions tell me to use.

Has anyone else done this, or ran into this problem.

Getting the program (mmr4-UMA) and getting it installed was a piece of cake. But I can't get past this one hurdle.

I have done it and it worked. it was a long time ago and cant find my notes. i do remember it working well and the customer loved it. They had a freeware SMTP server they were using.
