I have see eariler discussion concerning Unicams and Hot
melts and am wondering if there are any white papers on
this issue. I have a contractor who installed the Unicams
in a coal fired power plant which I don't agree is the
correct environment for its use. Any thoughts?

If the connector is exposed to hot environment, I would recommend 3M Ultra High Temp Hotmelt connectors. These are designed to work upto 100 deg C.

I have installed Corning CamLock connectors in an industrial manufacturing facility in West Texas with no problems.
