Hi. Is there any tool available to decrypt ASP code? A developer encrypted the ASP files before he left the company. I also do not have access to the server except the files which we have from backups. I am pasting a sample from one of the files below. Please help!

There are quite a few for asp.net. Haven't seen any for asp. Is it asp or asp.net? Just google for decrypt asp.

Hi xwb. The code is ASP. I Googled and was unsuccessful. It seems hopeless and there may actually be no solution to this problem. Someone will have to recode it all. Thanks.

Very nasty: the developer must have had a grudge against the company. Won't give him/her a good reference.

One thing to look for: Something has to be decrypting that cod e in order to execute it. My initial guess would be an ISAPI component in IIS that decrypts it then lets IIS handle it as usual. If you can manage to somehow get access to the server it is running on, try looking for an ISAPI plugin in IIS, that ought to give you a hint as to what program was used to encrypt it.
