A user deleted a VM message today by mistake and was hoping to undelete it. It is an App server R11.1.1 so the files in the account folder are OPUS and I have not found a program to listen to them yet like we could with a WAV file.
Looking for a way to retrieve the message for the user.

none of these work for the opus files I have tried them before all I get is a clunking sound. But when I listen to it from the VM Pro they play fine. These are the before and after files when using the converting tool. Audacity also does not work.

WARNING

exactly, these OPUS files do not play on any of the option I am told they should play on. What is Avaya doing trying to get rid of the IP Office because they want everyone on ACO. It used to be so easy to get the wav files and send them to the users.
Sorry end of rant, maybe

They play just fine through all the supported mailbox access methods. Perhaps you should explain how you are accessing the files.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

yes, they will play via the VM server but if you pull the file to a local PC and try to play, they will not. I was trying to pull the file so that a user who had deleted a message could have a wav file copy to listen to before the system deleted it. Was easy in Windows and prior releases of Linux VM but now with OPUS file no longer possible.

VMPro used to use a number of text files in the user directory to show the status of the mailbox files
"Deleted" mesaes remained in this file untill the next housekeepin so it was possiblle to edit it & reinstate the message
I am not sure if that is still possible because I have not payed with it for some time

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
