unanswered forwarded calls are sent to the original number's mailbox

Hello everyone,

We are having a discussion in our team and we are wondering something.

Let's say I forward DN 2061 to 2596. If no one picks up on 2596, the call is redirected to 2061's mailbox.

Is it possible to make it so that if no one answers on 2596, the call will be redirected to 2596's mailbox ?

CallPilot (or Meridian Mail) always handles calls based on the originally dialed DN. The CLS of the TN will not change that.

The easiest solution, though maybe not one you will like, is to remove the mailbox for 2061 then add 2061 as an Extension DN in the mailbox for 2596. As long as 2061 does not need its own mailbox then that is your answer.

I always thought calls to MMail were meant to go to the original numbers mailbox. An alternate solution would be to create a dummy queue (7777) NCFW 7000, and then enter it in the VSDN as a EM to mailbox 2596, then if x2596 FNA and Hunts to 7777 calls to both 2061 and 2596 will go to mailbox 2596.
