On my HP-ux machine, When I issue the command "uname -a" the out put is
# uname -a
-t ejmhpux B.11.11 U 9000/800 2058603285 unlimited-user license

That "-t" should not come. earlier I used to get HP-UX there. Now I am not able to install my applications specific to HP machine.

Can somebody help me in resolving this

Not to sure about HP-UX since I don't have a machine handy, but it might be contained under /proc/version. If you have that file, do a cat on it and see what it says.

can you setuname it back again?

Kind Regards
Duncan
