Hi,
O/S = NT4 SP5 ; Virusscan451 SP1; dat4252; engine4160

Occurs when user logs on to network.

The error is: "Unable to write to the report file. The disc is either full
or write protected. Please correct the problem."

I have checked the file path, permissions and disk space (as per solution id
NAI11709) and all seems fine.
Are there any other circumstances which might create this problem?? ChrisCW

Check the TEMP or TMP variable. Make sure that it's set to a valid path. AVChap

Hi,

This is a problem with permissions, you need to ensure that the user has permissions to write to the report file, if you installed VSCAN as administrator this would explain the problem.

I have had this issue with several W2k/XP machines.

Hello,

I have the same problem with our w2k machines. All the NT 4 machines are fine. I did a push of he EPO agent and all of a sudden problems accessing email. I am assuming rights to files but we cannot give everyone admin priv. Going to see if power users is good enough. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this bug? the agent is supposedly harmless...

here is one of the error messages we get:

Unable to open the activity log file c:\\virusscan\webemail.txt. This file is either write protected or locked by an other.

Which i think is a similar issue to Chris'.

Thanks,

BM
