Hi all,
I'm relativley new to all this veritas stuff and when I try to view the Microsoft Exchange Mailboxes in the backup selections they don't appear.
I have a remote agent installed on the remote mail server and it does back up the system state but in the error log it says "Unable to attach to \\SERVER\Microsoft Exchange Mailboxes. The device cannot be found".
This is obviously because I can't add it to the backup selections so the question is why can't I view the Exchange Mailboxes when trying to setup the backup.
Thanks in advance,
Brian

Thanks for the reply justin2000. I managed to find one of the links that you sent myself and seemed to have sorted it out.
One last query for anyone out there. I'm trying to install Remote Agent on a server and it keeps on telling me that the username/password is incorrect but it works when I have installed remote agent on other servers on the same network.
The server(which won't install Remote Agent) is on the same network as all the others that I have no problems with.
Even when I try to install with the admin password is fails, I am very confused!!!!!

If it's 9.0 - copy the RANT32 directory from the backup exec server to the remote server ie. its in c:\program files\veritas\backup exec\nt\agents directory.

Then on the remote server, open a DOS prompt, switch to the directory and run setupaa.cmd - this will install the remote agent.

if its 8.6, do teh above, but it's the NTAA directory you need to copy.
