I had to run an emergency "Restore Binaries and Configuration" operation to downgrade a IPO 500v2 control unit from R10.1.5 to R10.0.2 after a bad upgrade.
I want to re-try the upgrade now, but my IPO Manager Upgrade Wizard for R10.1.5 doesn't see the new firmware in the default working directory of "C:\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\IP Office\Manager". It reports the firmware as the previous R10.0.2 version even though the bin files are clearly from R10.1.5.
If I copy the files to a new directory and change my working directory, however, it will suddenly recognize them as the proper R10.1.5 firmware and allow me to update.
Is there something in IPO Manager Upgrade Wizard that prevents re-upgrades from the default working directory after a firmware downgrade?
I realize I can run the upgrade from a new directory, but I'd like to better understand how this software works before I launch the upgrade again. It's a bit frustrating -- it seems like there's a lot going on that's undocumented.
Thanks.
