I am root, i had export the cdrom with nfs to my freind pc with success.
He restarded his pc.
Ok now wen i want to umount the /mnt/cdrom
i get:

umount : /mnt/cdrom : device busy

I had also tried this without succes :-(
#umount -f /mnt/cdrom

Sounds like your friend's PC is 'using' the CD and you can't therefore umount it. If he or she turns off their PC temporarily, you should be able to unmount it. Hope this helps.

Hi,

Presumable, you can just stop the nfs services and that will allow you to unmount :

# /etc/rc.d/init.d/nfslock stop
# /etc/rc.d/init.d/nfs stop

Also, remember not to anywhere be in the /mnt/cdrom directory yourself when you unmount otherwise it will never do it...

# cd /mnt
# umount /dev/cdrom

Hope this helps

Not sure if this works.

Try typing 'fuser -m /mnt/cdrom' to find out which PIDs are using it.
Kill the processes, and you should be able to umount.

since i rebooted my linux,
The problem is fixed but i hop that i must not reboot my linux to get out cdrom!

i will try slok tips, in futur.

Thanks for all ;-)
