Strange problem. Below is the capture from the screen:

>ld 137
CIOD000
.stat cmdu
CMDU 1 ENABLED (ACTIVE)
CMDU 0 ENABLED (STANDBY)
.swap
CIOD001 Invalid command
.stat cmdu 1
CIOD002 Invalid argument
.stat cmdu 0
CIOD002 Invalid argument
.

Now the question is why do I get Invalid command/argument ?

Can you post the output if you just do a STAT command in LD 137?

Maybe you'll need to run a test first
TEST CMDU X
Cheers!!

results of th Stat command and also of the test cmdu.

>ld 137
CIOD000
.stat
CMDU 1 ENABLED (ACTIVE)
CMDU 0 ENABLED (STANDBY)
RDUN ENABLED
ELNK ENABLED
SDEV 1 OK (KC VALID)
.test cmdu 0

CIOD002 Invalid argument
.

There is another version of the STAT CMDU command that requires Core, Slot and Drive i.e.

STAT CMDU 0 16 1

Have you tried this?

I'm not sure you can do a swap from 137.
You need to do it from ld 135.

the cmdu should follow,

All I want to do is swap the CMDUs

I am not going to swap the cpus.

ld 135 for scpu
ld 137 for swap (cmdu)

You can definitly carry out a SWAP, STAT CMDU 0, and STAT CMDU 1 in LD 137, I've just tried it on an Option 61C (CS1000M)Release 4.5 system. SWAP changed the active CMDU and STAT CMDU 0 or 1 gives the status of the individual CMDU

I know that the swap command normally works, It is just that it is not working on this switch.

That is why I have posted here :)

I understand the orignal question, I was just trying to stop the 'You can't do it in LD 137' Debate before it got started :)

P.S while I understand your query, unfortunatly I don't have an answer :(

You should be able to swap the cmdu's in 137, what release are you on and what switch?

phonz1.

Yes I know that you SHOULD be able to swap cmdus in ld 137. In fact about a month ago I did. Its just this week when I tried I get the error.

Rls 4.5 / Opt 81C

try to SCPU and see if the CMDU follows, otherwise you could split the cores and see if you can get the cmdu to repond, either way sounds like overtime to me!

Triton101

Why?

Swap is a valid command on an option 81c with Rls 4.5.

What will printing ISS give you. I am more than willing but would like to understand the reasoning.
