We are using Crystal Reports version 8.5 and the users have the runtime client installed on their pcs. The reports are on a shared drive on the server and each user has access to the folder. When they run the compiled exe from their pc, it will not retain their established printer. They are printing to 3 different printers and everytime someone who uses a different printer runs it, it defaults to the printer that someone else used. Also, if someone changes the print options, this change occurs across the network. For example, someone chose the option "Print the report to a window at a specific time" instead of "right now". Whoever runs the report after that has to change it back to "right now". Can someone give me some advice on how to fix this problem. Maybe there is a setting in the crf file that I'm overlooking? Thanks in advance.

Do you mean that you compile the reports using the Crystal supplied EXE generator, or using some runtime app that allows users to run reports, or?

Generally compiled reports (the Crystal supplied EXE generator) are run from individual copies of the reports, so this isn't an issue.

I compile the reports in Crystal by going to the Report drop down and choosing Compile Report. This creates an executable of the report. The users are mapped to the location where the Crystal report, the crf file, and the executable are located. They run it from thier machine.
