Unable to see old emails on handheld

A problamatic account on 3.6 needed to be removed and re-added to the server. The user can no longer see old emails only new ones. Is there a way to fix this? a wired synch did not solve the issue. The device was wiped before the move was done.

No why would you want to see old mail? Blackberry is not a place to archive mail or "save" Wiping clears everything so from the point you sync on is when you will get mail. Say bye bye to the mail.

If he reallt wants it have him forward mail to his outlook to himself so it appears on the BB.

Thanks for the reply. Does 4.0 resolve this issue? I believe when you first sync with 4.0 you get all the emails in your inbox? upto a limit?

Before you wipe any device off, it is a good practice to backup all the data on the hand set then wipe off. This will ensure that you have your old mails back later if you want to restore.
