I am unable to see downloaded program file in IE 6 on win XP PRO and I can not find any options to allow me to view them .

Did you search for a downloaded file by name?

The download location is sticky but not pre-defined or permanent. I routinely download something and forget what folder was assigned at the moment.

Just a thought...
Does Tools > Internet Options > Settings > View Objects show you anything that you're looking for?

No the downloaded program files showes me nothing .

"Downloaded Program Files" is a directory established by Windows Update. There is no fixed directory for files you decide to download using IE.

Try to download something else and in the dialogue box note carefully what directory is currently set as the location Folder.

lowryt, have you got your issue resolved? I am having the same problem as well... An activeX control was downloaded to this folder but I just couldn't remove the control because I wasn't able to see anything under this folder... any suggestion? Thanks...

I tried that too.. but just couldn't see anything on the IE browser as well....
