Am using Presentation server 4.0 running on Win server 2003. I published the desktop for users and I created short cut of some programs and placed them in All users profile desktop.

When a user connects with an ICA the user does not see the short cuts in All users profiles desktop on his/her desktop.

Pls were can I place shortcuts so that when users logon to to an ICA session they will see the shortcuts on their desktop.

Is there any setting in term server or citrix that I need to configure.

Thanks for the assistance

this should only be an access rights problem...

logon with admin and sett access righs Full control for users, then they will see them.. or check the access rights in all users folder... (at first step:)

cheers

I have given full access to Everyone, authenticated users and Domain users on All users folder. Users still cannot see the desktop shortcuts in All users.

I also noticed that its only users logging on using an ICA file or citrix web access that has this problem of not seeing All users desktop. Any other user logging on to the server without an ica file or web access can see All users desktop. Is there a setting in citrix that turns off all users desktop?

I wonder how you have set up the connection to Citrix, have you specified Seamless desktop? if so try swpping to full screen or percent of screen.

If this works, you can push out an updated client using Citrix tools but copy the working Appsrv.ini from your user profile and over write the Appsrv.src in the source files and all you clients will get the changes.

Hope this helps

I agree with balage0 that it should only be permissions issue if my suggestion does not work. although I would not leave full rights to everyone on these folders.

What about a Group Policy setting in Active directory?

Hi,

Users connect using a web client via IE. I don't think its a group policy setting because in Win 2000 server, users see the desktop of all users in XPE 3. In Presentation Server 4 on Win 2003 users do not see the desktop of all users.
