I am having a problem with Enterprise 8 Standard. I know it's old but we have had it for a while and never used it and I am trying to make it work so we can test it out and see if we want to go ahead and upgrade to XI Server. The problem I have is this: any report I publish to any folder other than user folders runs fine. But if I publish one to the Administrator or Guest user folder I get this message:

Error encountered by Crystal PageServer
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The error message returned is:

The report you are trying to access (ID = 310) has recently been removed from the server, it never existed, or you do not have the right to see this report. Please select a different report. [On Web Component Server: CITRIX.cacheserver]

The same reports run fine under any other folder except the users folders. Also in the process of testing certain things I have notice that when it tells me my concurrent licenses has been reached and it forces me to type a login and password, I can run the reports with no problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thx,
Chuck

Hi,
Check the rights tab and you will see that User Folders are limited in who can access them.
Be sure you are logged in as one of the permitted users..

The functionality of XI ( and 8.5,9,10) is so different and superior to 8 that using 8 to determine if you should move to the current release will not give you meaningful results..

Try the evaluation versons of the XI releases instead..

Thanks for the info. I have checked the rights tab for this report and Everyone has no access and Administrators group has Full Access. I am logged in as Administrator when I try to run the report.

As for eval purposes, we are just testing to see if this method is a viable option for us. $7500 is a lot to invest for just a few people to be running reports from it. But I appreciate the insight. I have tried to download to XI server and it crashed at about 80%. I will try it again though to check it out.

Chuck
